How long a Pennsylvania refund takes
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue does not publish a processing time for e-filed or paper returns on the pages we checked. The official tool is the only reliable guide to your refund.
The department does not publish a number of weeks. Its 2025 PA-40 instructions say it processes refunds for e-filed returns in half the time of a paper return.
